Artist's Comments

One of five images created around the subject of phychological disorders. This image deals with self injury. Before this project I new very little about the subject, but after talking to a number of people who self harmed, I learned that although by no means an answer to problems, self harming was a possitive thing to the sufferer -in that it helped them deal with what ever they were going through. One girl described to me how she used to self harm, because she couldnt deal with the emotional pain, she gave herself a physical wound she could tend to.

Very interesting, and quite beautiful in how you got the message across in this piece.

To put the giraffe in the fridge, open the door and put it in. Before that, you must first kill it and then chop it into bits.

An impressive piece of artwork, I simply love how you managed to say so much with so little imagery, it's great

I love the imagery you've used. Knowing from personal experience, that' s exactly what if feels like. Like all the negative thoughts are under your skin, eating you alive and you've got to set them free.

The doves and the lighting is really speaking to me. I love it
